Trane TU & Tech View for Chillers

One of the common software we use as chiller techs is Tranes Tech View. We use TU too but that requires access to a subscription. 

Many don't know that it is free to download from Tranes site here.

For Tech View you need a Male DB9 Serial connector to USB-A (regular USB) to connect. It plugs into the Dynaview control panel on the bottom behind a little door. 

For TU you will use a USB-B (like printers used to use, the square one) to USB-A to connect. It plugs into the side of the control panel or directly into the UC controller.
