HVAC Refrigerant Gauges Manifold or Stubby

My early years in the trade were spent with my good ol brass 3 port manifold gauges.

As I started working on larger system I invested in a 4 port set that I still have today. Yellow Jacket made a hell of a set with the Brute series.

The thing was, manifolds don't work great on a lot of equipment unless your using 12ft hoses lol.

So my introduction to stubby gauges was born. 

I ended up moving completely away from a manifold set.

I still believe you should have a set just in case. I found though using T fittings and ball valves I was far more effective with my stubbies. 

Granted then bluetooth probes replaced my stubbies for most tasks.
