TXV can be challenging to calibrate. Especially if you lack patience.
I found using a timer really helps me to not get too jumpy making adjustments.
I have also found that if I sit and track the numbers while it's balancing out. I will convince myself I need to make an adjustment by the time my timer goes off.
Even if the readings start to stabilize in a good range.
There are so many factors that go into a good calibration, it's no surprise so many struggle with it.
Things like load and charge are major factors that will influence the superheat and adjustments.
So in the end, as long as I'm not worried about flooding the compressor, I will set my timer and step away while it adjusts.
When my 20 minute timer goes off I will approach the data fresh without as many preconceived influences.
