Pre Rotation Vanes (PRV) are an essential component of a centrifugal compressor. They serve multiple purposes, the most critical being refrigerant volume control. Most manufactures refer to these as an Inlet Guide Vane (IGV). The component and principles of operation is the same. These vanes are driven by an electric actuator that is controlled by the control panel. The control PID is using a floating point control method.
